[SLE] XMMS and AACPlus streams

I'm trying to listen to radio stations using AACPlus for streaming (for
example http://radio21.rdsnet.ro:8000) with XMMS on SUSE 10.1. I've
installed the faad2, faad2-devel and faad2-xmms-plugin packages from the
DVD, but the result is XMMS buffering the stream over and over (gets to
100% and starts again) and no sound playing. When starting XMMS I get
the following error:

/usr/lib/xmms/Input/libmp4.so: undefined symbol: MP4GetTrackAudioType

libmp4.so came with the faad2-xmms-plugin RPM.
I've tried compiling faad2 from source but I'm getting various errors -
I can't seem to find a howto that works, and I've tried several. It
seems certain things must be done when compiling this thing, as it has
some bugs...

My questions:
- has anyone installed the aforementioned SUSE RPMs? If so, did they
work for you?
- has anyone succeeded in compiling the faad2 library and XMMS plugin
from source on SUSE? If so, can you describe what you did?

Thanks a lot.
