I need to add ipsec with NAT-T and Klips (patches)
to the suse Live 10.1 distro

now the ipsec (openswan) Nat-t and Klips patches don't work (At this time) against the kernel in SL-10.1
i got them to work on a slightly older kernel 2.6.16.1

now cloop doesn't like any new kernel since 2.6.15.? and I don't like cloop much anyways,

i'd like to make the SUSE live 10.1 with squashfs

here is my problem.

in the SUSE live 10.1 the init in the initrd.gz is a BINARY!!!!!

the init in the normal distro's is a shell script, even in Knoppix live, the init is a script.

is the source for the init (on the live distro) available ?
i can't modify it to load and use squashfs unless i can access the original source,
make that change, and recompile

failing this, i will just have to figure out how to get Nat-T and Klips patches onto the
kernel version that SUSE/openSuse use, then i can just recompile the 2.6.16.13-4 kernel
with the changes for ipsec/Nat-t/Klips and rebuild the Live 10.1 DVD with ipsec Nat-t support
(and Klips too).

but if i can find the SUSE souce for making their init (in the initrd) for the Live DVD,
then my problems are solved and i can go to squashfs, which i kinda find it odd that
SUSE LiveDVD 10.1 (or even older versions) is using it anyways!
