I have to be more specific. 

>From 10.0 to any 10.1 the login screen does not appear / grey screen.
>From 10.1 to any 10.1 the login screen does not appear / grey screen.
>From 10.0 to any 10.0 the login screen appears
>From 10.1 to any 10.0 the login screen appears

Something on the receiving end of Krdc does not work for 10.1
