I'm in favour of a gentle but firm reminder/pointer to the list rules
for the first offence or even two.  After that, I would accept
stronger criticism.

However, we can all make the odd mistake.  I know I do often. 
Possibly my worst is replying to the sender of the last post in a
thread rather than to the list as a whole :-(  I always realise I've
done it straight away and send a hasty apology though.

By the way Peter, I do like your sig ;-)  very true.
