I have been able to get it to work. I used

ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source
ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.1/inst-source
ftp://suse.mirrors.tds.net/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.1/inst-source

Expect long waits and retries. But it does work. I used the mini ISO
with the above.
