Okay, what you want is Nx over SSH, it is as fast or faster than Rdesktop/RDP.
Hmm, the only difference is that with Winodws/RDP only one user on the machine
at a time (well not really but....), and with NX you are limited only by
machine resources....
Tell me what version of SUSE are you installing,
and I'll send you the setup howto's to get it done...
BTW. if you already got a vpn up and running you can use that for VNC and Nx
as well. It don't have to be SSH 8-)

Okay, what you want is Nx over SSH, it is as fast or faster than Rdesktop/RDP.
