I experienced the same behaviour. You need to update compiz and/or xgl. I used the following repository http://youmortals.com/suse/compiz-quinn/x86/ and solved the problem. Francesco MindBender wrote:

I have one complaint about the Xgl + compiz with KDE is that sometimes the menu dont shows when you clik on it . For now it seems to happen when the Desktop have been up for some times, it stated by not showing on all clik where I have to play with it and hope that it will come back to not showing at all.
