Well, let's start with the obvious: you did replace <yourdesktop>, user and externalrouterip with real values, right? Second, like I said, solaris ssh could be the issue. Perhaps it's incompatible. I asked you to look at log files on the router. Did you? I don't have access to a solaris machine here so I really have no way of testing, and I don't know which version you're using even if I did The command I gave will work on linux machines
