If the paper is jamming as it goes through the printer check the pick up 
roller, this usually has a rubber tire on it and gets worn so the paper 
is not fed through at the right time or speed. Replacement pick up 
rollers are only a few dollars, not hundreds, and you certainly should 
not need the fixing roller assembly changing unless you are getting 
marks in the print from a damaged roller.
