Alright young man... I have SUSE 10.0, KDE 3.5.1. What do you have, KDE
3.4.2 or so? Maybe that's the problem. Here 'video files' is the second to
the last choice.
Wait. I gave you the Desktop answer. You were asking about File Manager. I
believe it is missing there. I can't find it where it used to be.
Are you using Konqueror? Are you sure you are in "File Management' profile?
Change to that profile and then check the menu options View, Preview, Video
Files and see if its checked or not...
