Hi. Thanks for the advice with mozilla's build. I tried it. And... I dunno. :-\ It's really faster than one I've got from SuSE. It hasn't found flash plugin though. I guess that's why even the sites with flash like the one I've told do not slow down the browser. And now I'm totally confused. Should I install flash plugin? ;-) Need to try.
Thanks, Roma.
PS I even have had thought to try mozilla's sources to build firefox at my machine. If I'll have some free time I'll going to try that one and post the results.
PPS In answer to James Wright: All other browsers (Opera, Konqueror) work really fast on this machine. I am connected via LAN inside which there is satellite dish (approx half-megabit). Connectin works good enough. None of the extensions/themes (except default ones) are installed. =========
Roman, Your flash plugin has to be installed in your Firefox plugins directory. If you haven't done that, then it's not going to work! There should be a softlink to the plugin in your Mozilla directory (/opt/Mozilla), that you can copy over to your Firefox. Everything just doesn't happen automatically for you. Lee
