Hi guys,
We have a problem at one client where from certain people to certain people, Outlook meeting invites comes out as a mail containing the html code. I'm running SUSE 9.3 with all updates applied, postfix-2.2.1-3. The Postfix is only a gateway. It plugs into amavisd-new-2.2.1-5 and forwards the mail to three different servers (three branches) - two of them identical SUSE boxes, the other Exchange 2000.
The client got a second opinion from their previous support people and they say it's a postfix bug and I have to "apply the hotfix" - but I haven't been able to find any information relating to this. Does anyone know of such an issue?
I run many identical SUSE 9.3/Postfix/Amavis relays without this issue.
What exactly do you mean? An outlook meeting invite *is* an html mail. It's interpreted by the client, postfix doesn't do anything with it (unless of course you have some fancy rewriting rules running) Would the affected parties be running some unpatched version of an old service pack level of outlook perhaps? -- Certified: Yes.
