Hi, I always thought that Linux forbids setuid scripts and that therefore suidperl can be used that emulates the setuid bit for Perl scripts. Now, when I chmod u+s /usr/bin/suidperl on my SUSE 10.0, I get the output YOU HAVEN'T DISABLED SET-ID SCRIPTS IN THE KERNEL YET! FIX YOUR KERNEL, OR PUT A C WRAPPER AROUND THIS SCRIPT! May it be that Perl didn't get configured correctly for SUSE? Or am I wrong with my assumption that Linux forbids setuid scripts? (But actually I checked it with a self-compiled Perl 5.6, and there $> of a setuid script is still the real uid, so my assumption seems to hold.)
