Hey guys, I'm new to suse but not to linux. I'm trying to get suse 10.0 to pull an ip address from a cisco 2600(no ipv6 support) and its just not getting an address. I know that the dhcpd is working on the router as i dual boot into windows and it works just fine.
You might want to try forcing windows to release the IP address it has leased. I've seen dual boot installations causing problems with DHCP in the past.
In my logs all i see is "kernel: eth0: no IPv6 routers present" Any idea how I can force it to use ipv4? or a work around? Thanks in advance.
As Per said, this shouldn't be an issue, but to disable ipv6 you put install ipv6 /bin/true in the file /etc/modprobe.local and then reboot -- Certified: Yes. Certifiable: of course! jabber ID: anders@rydsbo.net
