Hello.
I am looking to build a new system and would like to setup a RAID 1 array with two 200GB SATA hard drives. The system will be running OpenSUSE v10. Can anyone recommend a good SATA RAID controller? How well does SATA RAID behave with SUSE Linux?
If you want a hardware raid controller, i.e. not the cheapo stuff you get on motherboards, have a look at the Adaptec card. I have a couple of them in client servers (all on Raid-5, but it can do Raid-1) and they just work, and performance is good. I have heard good things of 3ware too, but I have yet to get my grubby little paws one one... Hans
