I've been having trouble with X11. Specifically, while trying to utilize a library written in the Euphoria Programming Language which uses libX11.so:
linux:/usr/X11R6/lib # ls libX11* libX11.so. libX11.so.6 libX11.so.6.2 linux:/usr/X11R6/lib # ln -s libX11.so /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6 ln: creating symbolic link `/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6' to `libX11.so': File exists
First of all, you have the command backwards. The syntax is ln TARGET LINK so try ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6 libX11.so Secondly, you will get that symlink automatically by installing the package xorg-x11-devel
