Well, with these definitions, System Update is just that, a System
Update. It shouldn't be used to upgrade to a completely new version of
the system (e.g. moving from 10.0 to 10.1). It should be used for when
you have a source of rpms and you want to mass update them. For example
from the supplementary packages on the suse ftp site, or from a packman
mirror site.

Online Update is reserved for the official security patches and bug
fixes released by suse/novell
