Factories do a sort of dd of the whole HD. They plug in the HD and with the codes provided, it puts the wanted softwareversion, including test software, partitions and anything else, on the HD. I understand that you are frustrated that SUSE version X won't install with your amount of hardware. So the only question you have is: why does Yast with ncusres need so much memory and can it be brought down?
