This time it is not (only) Microsoft. Sony and sorts have both shares in the market of the playes as in the market of the music itself. :-( Oh well. There are ways to build your own car audio system. I remember that the first ones were running Linux. Compiling the kernel while listening to a ogg that reads out libdvdcss to you.
