ok i got the driver and installed it as you suggested went well. BUT i still cannot change resolutions higher than 800x600 and in kde, configure - desktop / display it is showing oHz as the refresh rate. and in yast, card and monitor properties the sync freq's are correct..... i just finished my install of 10.0 on a dell inspiron 600m went great! i use the dell in a dock and have a flat panel connected to it. the flap panel is a dell e173fp im guessing i need a driver for this monitor. i cannot change resolutions and the screen size is off... it is telling me im running 800x600 but kinda looks like 640x480... in any case the fact that i cannot change resolutions and the freq is listed as 0hz makes me think i need a driver...?? or is there another monitor that i can choose? ... where do i look for a driver i have given up on googleing it google is NOT my friend tonight!
I have a DELL Dimension 4400 and a new DELL XPS M140 laptop. I always go to DELL for my drivers. Even the Windows drivers will work, all you need is the .INF file. I just got a Samsung 713N flat panel for my desktop, and the driver works fine from Samsung. both laptop and desktop are running SUSE 10.0 . for google, don't forget to use www.google.com/linux for your linux searches.
