I don't use Mozilla/Netscape but I can connect to AOL using KMail - this page give the details of the servers/port settings required

(unfortunately the Thunderbird link is dead try http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/faq.html#aol - I'm assuming Mozilla/Netscape will be similar)
