Hi,

I have an Nvidia 6200 Turbocache card installed on an Nforce4 mobo, with
the latest Nforce/Nvidia drivers on SuSE 10 x86_64. I used to be able to
run OpenGL screensavers, but no more. What can be wrong?

3Ddiag gives:

3Ddiag version 0.728

Tests for X.Org configuration:
Config File /etc/X11/xorg.conf ... done.

Checking GL/GLU/glut runtime configuration:
GL/GLU ... done (package xorg-x11-Mesa)

NOTE: I *do* have nvidia (*not* nv) specified in my xorg.conf file.

Chromium BSU runs as if it was using hardware rendering - but this is a
quick machine, so I can't really tell. I have had a look at
/var/log/Xorg.O.log - and can't see any errors there - i.e. the system
is using NVIDIA's glx and driver, but obviously 3Ddiag thinks there is a
problem :(

Has anyone else experienced this, or have any ideas on what might be wrong?

Incidentally, I do have a problem each time I install the nvidia
drivers, with /dev/nvidiactl having the wrong permissions.

Best wishes,

Jon.
