In the YaST install/remove software setup screen some packages on my SuSE 9.3 pooter display the package name and summary in red rather than black. For example: Clamav, Open Office, permissions, amarok, etc..
What does it mean when the package is displayed in red? Is this a warning that I need to heed?
Hi Gil, red = the installed package is newer than the one available through YaST. blue = the installed package is older and can be updated. black = either a) the package is not installed or b) the package available through YaST is the same as the one already installed. hth & regards, - Carl
