In the YaST install/remove software setup screen some packages on my SuSE 9.3 pooter display the package name and summary in red rather than black. For example: Clamav, Open Office, permissions, amarok, etc..
What does it mean when the package is displayed in red? Is this a warning that I need to heed?
Hi Gil,
red = the installed package is newer than the one available through YaST.
blue = the installed package is older and can be updated.
black = either a) the package is not installed or b) the package available through YaST is the same as the one already installed.

Thank you, Sir. Glad it is not an indication of trouble on my pooter. :o) Gil
