There is a suggestion that passing the parameter no_timer_check will correct the clock speed problem with linux and this machine. Does anyone know if it works AND how do I pass the parameter to grub at boot?
Always state which version of SuSE you are using as the way of doing things are not always the same across versions. Enter the command at the boot prompt. If using SUSE 10 hit F2 to gain access to the boot prompt.
Sorry, running 9.3 There did not seem to be any response when I put that parameter on the options line at boot. This is an irritating problem. The clock passes time at about double speed. Scott Please ONLY reply to the list unless asked otherwise.
Search the list archives from last year as this was talked about extensively. site:lists.suse.com [SLE] clock runs fast should get some hits that apply. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
