DVD-CD rw for use on Suse 10 on a P2-400 need advice

Hi Ive been using Suse 9.0 Pro boxed edition. Just bought 10.0. My network consists of 7 boxes (Suse=2 ;Win98SE=4 PowerPC w/OS9.4=1) Nothing fancy. They are all P2 400 or 450 with 256k or 324K memory. I need Postgresql and samba. Apparently these are now only avail on the DVD. Not the CD's. SDB hardware is skimpy, 10.0 not in the listings.(Novell/Suse website) Does any one know of a low end dvd unit that will work on a P2-400. Will the Pioneer DVR-R100 BS work? NEEDED for 1) install from Suse DVD. 2) back up storage of files. No movies. Thanks Tom Land
