using the tray icon menus, YES, I get a blank ( grey not black) window. and now when I try to use the green-start button control panel, the little hourglass spins, and....goes away.
So I'm not the only one to get that blank window! Interesting that I don't get it on my other machine. Also, I don't get the blank window if I go directly to Control Center instead of using the taskbar mini-app.
Anyone else see this (in KDE 3.5)? Or have a suggestion as to what to do about it? My guess is that the code for the mini-app rather than the code for the Control Center itself is at fault. I've tried reinstalling kdebase, which supposedly includes that code, and it makes no difference.

Paul. I get the same results no matter where I start control center. Everything works as it should from my 3.5. Almost sounds as if something didn't get installed or configured right after installation. Did you restart KDE after do the update? You need to drop down to init 3 and then back to init 5. If you didn't, that may be the reason for your problems. just a thought, Lee
