Hi List;
I've just installed openSUSE v10 on an IBM thinkpad but I cannot play commercial DVD's. I've installed xine and xine-lib but I get the following error when I attempt to run play a DVD with xine or kaffiene:
Warning: This version of Xine lacks support for playing DVD discs for legal reasons. Please go to http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2003/09/xine_dvd.html for further details.
If I go to this url it simply tells me there is no legal dvd player for linux.
Thanks in advance for your help...
Go to this link and search for libdvdcss and follow the directions to install the package. Then search for and install the xine packages so you have software that is not crippled.
Would have helped to include the link: http://packman.links2linux.org/
If you have more questions give us a holler back here on the list.
