Trying to set up vs-ftpd on my 10.0 (and also tried on a older 9.3) But neither of them has the ftpdir package. I cant seem to find them at all.
I would have thought that that package was loaded by default if you installed any of the ftp-servers that comes with the release???
What do you need ftpdir for?
The package vs-ftpd is all that's required to run a ftp server.
The anonymous directory is in /srv/ftp by default.

Didnt work for me.. After allowing anonymous uploads, i tried to run it standalone and testsend a file from a client. I got an error complaining about file not writable. I grabbed an older ftpdir rpm and shoved it uonto the disk. Sane test, same file, same client: Success... So i figured i needed it... -- -- /Rikard ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- email : rikard.j@rikjoh.com web : http://www.rikjoh.com mob : +46 (0)736 19 76 25 ------------------------ Public PGP fingerprint ---------------------------- < 15 28 DF 78 67 98 B2 16 1F D3 FD C5 59 D4 B6 78 46 1C EE 56 >
