I seem to remember that only some 5-1/4" disks used hard
sectoring. They were the ones with a whole slew of holes
around the center. Nicht wahr?
so did the old 8" and even older 13" SSSD Micropolis drives (170k), I still have one of each plus a box of floppys that fit (ex a pdp8).
