I am using KDE at home (still have Windows people who use my machine, and this is familar), used gnome on a friends system and an old one when I set it up as Samba, then switched off x (just wanted the option). I realize that KDE is more of a memory hog, but if I was looking for something lite, I've been wanting to play with ones like fluxbox. After this discussion, I figure I will use Ubuntu for a month or two, then swap it to Gentoo. As long as I have one working system, I should just play with the other.
Thanks all
