Hello, all--
This is not an ad, this is a request:
Are you tired of typing in your name, address, etc, for
every doggone website you want info from? Someone could make
a fortune by writing some kind of program that would work
on Windows and Linux and Free-BSD,etc., that, when you got
those screens, would figure out what and where they wanted the
info and filled it out, from info in your computer. It
would have to be very secure, so the info could not be tapped,
not credit card numbers, and not the street address or phone number.
The user would see these empty holes, and simply push, say,
what I call the diddly key ( ~ ) and a small window would come
up asking which info to send, and then a "go" button, and
"Bob's your uncle," as they say across the water.
The program should have options for supplying/not supplying
credit-card info, street addresses, or telephone numbers, etc.,
on specific connections. Hopefully by check-box, or
something similarly easy to use.
I would cheerfully pay maybe $65 for such a program, but the
bean-counters could probably figure out a realistic price.
(I would rather pay $19.95, but I realize that this is a
tricky project, requiring the recognition of screen displays.
Maybe it's not even possible, but it sure would be nice!)
