G'day We have a 3 pieces of 'antique' DOS based data acquisition software. The software runs reliably and fits very well our business model. The hardware they are running on is also 'antique' (386) and begins to fail and needs urgent replacing. Currently there are 3 systems, running on 3 different computers under DOS, namely fuelwatch, which acquires fuel dispensed data from bowsers, tfx, a datalogger/blackbox for trucks and heavy vehicles, timeclock, logging presence time of employees I have a SuSE V9.2 Linux System with 4 additional serial ports available and am trying to migrate this software to the linux box, using dosemu. The software runs nicely under dosemu with the exception of the data acquisition part which accesses the serial port. Any suggestions on how to go about to gain exclusive access to the tty ports from dosemu are most welcome. Thanks Peter
