Oh joy! The latest SuSE 10 online update has ruined this system for KDE. KDE comes up and then slows down just before it fails and drops to the command line Starting KDE come up with libpowersave.so.7 can not be found. Of course not, that is because SuSE chose to change it to libpowersave.so.10. Problem is that KDE 3.4.2 has a goof which hard wired it to libpowersave.so.7. Creating a link also fails to fix the problem. Well great that I have fvwm2 around. "startx fvwm2". At least it work without all the KDE hooks. Oh Yea! This is a desktop box running on AC - Why do I even need powersave. But that alright SuSE knows best. -- 73 de Donn Washburn Hpage:" http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB Email: " n5xwb@hal-pc.org " 307 Savoy St. HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador LL# 1.281.242.3256 " http://counter.li.org " #279316
