Open the printer manager and check if the printer has been taken off line. This used to happen a lot in my 9.2 system, sometimes it would even get difficult to restart the printer. If that happens, it is easier to delete the printer and reinstall it. But most of the time restarting the printer will do it.. good luck, d. On Wednesday 12 October 2005 21:24, Peter Nunn wrote:
Hi folks..
I'm running an old server with suse 9.2
Suddenly cups has stopped passing jobs on to the printer (in the last few days)... guess its something that has been updated automagicly but not sure what.
Jobs are in the queue.. although often there are two or three copies of the one job by the looks.. Top one says it processing.. but nothing happens.
Tried restarting cups and the entire system.. but still no joy.
/var/log/messages/error_log shows nothing much obvious.. so really don't know where to go from here.
Thanks. Pete.
