Under the heading of easy but silly solutions....I would get the md5
hash on the iso file and compare it to the one on the website.
Everytime I've had weird shit like that going on the CD was the
problem.

P4 are not 64 bit. They're 32 bit.

Did you download the 64 bit DVD? The DVD's for 10 are separate. One
is for 64 bit processors and one is for 32 bit processors. I don't
know why 64 bit stuff would be on the 32 bit DVD. Perhaps you've got
the wrong disk?
