Why not? It could be a PC running s/390 Linux under Hercules under XP. The real thing in the garage plus a 3-phase generator out back would be nice, though the neighbours would probably throw a fit.
No 3-phase power in your neighbourhood? ;-) Incidentally, I bought my first computer, an IMSAI 8080 in 1976. Since back in those days I was travelling a lot with my job and bringing my computer with me, I decided to specifically insure my computer. It took a bit of effort, to convince my insurance company that I actually owned a computer. :-)
