Yesterday I installed SUSE10 -- excellent. Very nice. YOU worked
great, I did hte full update and restarted, firefox worked great, no
problems. As a relative newbie I was thrilled.
Today, just "because" I checked for updates again. It found 2 updates,
I didn't look really closely, but a kernel update occurred and I had
to restart.
Upon restart, YAST/ software / software management or system update or
online update -- does not work, the cursor spins for a few seconds and
quits. Same thing when I try to launch Firefox, I get the spinning
cursor for a bit, and then it just quits.
When I launch firefox from a terminal I get:
/usr/bin/firefox: line 251: 12347 Segmentation fault $MOZ_PROGRAM $MOZ_LANG
Another poster had the same problem with firefox, and he fixed it by
"re-installing gtk-qt-engine" ... but since software management
doesn't work, I don't know how to do this.
I'm sure you will more info ... but I'm not sure what. Suggestions? Questions?
