Hi,
Is there a principle or etiquette that determines what should be posted to the SLE list and what to the opensuse list ? I've been following SLE since SuSE 6.2, buying packages as I go. This machine however is running a downloaded opensuse 10.
The opensuse[-*] lists are for those of us who are working on the OpenSUSE project. This is the Open Source development project that leads to the various SUSE Linux distributions. The lists are mainly to discuss development issues.
Any "end-user" discussion of SUSE Linux belongs on SLE. Oh, and you're not running OpenSUSE, you're running SUSE Linux OSS (or possibly Eval) which is based upon OpenSUSE. There is no OpenSUSE branded end product.
That is a concise answer :: much appreciated. * Developement issues in opensuse list * Useage issue on [SLE] Thanks F
