OpenOffice.org makes them ready to go. Download the file from their site and unpack it and you'll see the file it created. Within THAT file you'll see a file labeled RPMS. All the rpms you'll need are there and there is an extra folder to pick out the menu rpm for SuSE.
2. Just add the directory in which the RPMs are to the installation sources in YaST and you should see them listed as blue (update available) entries in YaST software management.
I tried this but YaST told me that the directory "did not refresh" and, although it put the directory in as a source, would not actually read from it and use it.
