I just did a test on my laptop. I created a 400 MB file and began copying it to my USB 2.0 drive. I immedately noticed no speed increase from earlier this week. I was getting 120 - 140 Kb/Sec with an estimated time of completion of 1:20:00.
You're lucky. I am only getting ~37Kb/s transfer rate.
So far, all I've done is the hal update through YOU.
