You can get the ISO file's MD5 code. The software "md5deep" can help you do it. So you can use the MD5 code to judge your ISO file whether is integrity. ======= 2005-10-26 08:41:07 in your mail =======
I try to install SuSE 10 on a GA-K8N (AMD Athlon processor) with SATA harddisk.
First I downloaded from http://www.opensuse.org/Mirrors_Released_Version the 5 CDs x86 and with makeSuSEdvd I created a DVD.
Than I boot the machine with this DVD and installed EVERYTHING.
There came once an error up, something like:
Error (InstTarget: ERpmDB_subprocess_failed) 2005-10-26 07:25:02 desktop-data-SuSE-10.0-2.noarch.rpm install failed
rpm output: error: /var/adm.YaST/InstSrcManager/IS_CACHE_0x00000001/MEDIA/suse/noarch.desktop-data-SuSE-10.0-2.noarch.rpm
I tried several times "retry" than "ignore"
No further error.
Initial boot ends with, put in a disk !!!
I am sure that are two different things, but how to solve it?
I guess: 1. one of the CDs have not been downloaded correct, which one? The file sizes are for me:
F:\BitTorrent\SUSE-10.0-released-x86_64-GM>dir Volume in drive F has no label. Volume Serial Number is 6D5A-4619

BTW, what could I do with the MDSUM file:
