I have trying to download a 2.8 GB image from the net, and three times till now KGet has let me down. It downloaded till 97% and then pfft. Then once at 25%. Then once at 66%. All these problems have arisen specifically when I put the download at pause and restarted my PC. Why does this happen?
Hi SS, I wouldn't try to "span" the pause capability across reboots because the third party to the process, the server, probably doesn't understand how to handle it. It would be better to just stop the download and continue later, when it is convenient. "man wget" or "info wget" or "wget --help" should point you to the CLI method of picking up a download where you left off (instead of starting again from the beginning.) regards, - Carl
