say, It would be nice if you could try the update (of 
course, backup your data before) and report the result.

I you are cautious this should not break the wall, but I'm 
curious to see how the update cope with UID change.

Nobody yet can say if this will be successfull, there is not 
final SUSE 10 right now (but fairly nice betas :-)

if you want to be secure, stay with 9.3 :-)
