If you invest some time researching this endeavor, and particularly if you search using the link I've provided, you'll find all the answers to all of the usual questions and no one will have to bother describing it all over again. Which makes sense, since it's already been done for you ;-)
Hi again Robert, It took me a quarter hour to find the detailed procedure I posted to this list some time ago (my, how time flies!) I've updated it for 9.3 and am posting it again to, hopefully, make finding it less troublesome for you and others. 1) Add a new ftp installation source in YaST using one of the mirrors: Example: field 1: "ftp.mirrordomain.ext" field 2: "pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.3/yast-source" -->no quotes; no leading or trailing slashes; obviously, use a real site. Login: Anonymous password: leave blank 2) Close the Installation Sources module and open the "Install and Remove Software" module. 3) Select the "Package Groups" filter in the drop-down list, top-left. 4) In the left pane, scroll all the way to the bottom and select "zzz All" 5) Wait a few seconds for the list of packages in the right pane to completely refresh. 6) Right-click on any package in the right pane, highlight "All in this list" and select "Update if newer version available." [Note: Any package listed in the right pane that is installed on your system will be upgraded if a newer version is available in the supplementary source you just added, above.] 7) Click "Accept" good luck & regards, - Carl
