Dear SUSE users: I thought I give a try to openSUSE 10-RC1. The installation run smoothly. I own a 17'' CRT monitor (model: Diamond CM-1766MCLR). SUSE usually does not recognize it and sets it as a VESA monitor with 1020x768 resolution at 60 Hz and 16 bit color depth. In earlier SUSE versions (in 9.0, 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3) I could use sax2 to override these values and set other values that are acceptable for the monitor to display in 1024x768 at 85 Hz, 24 bit color depth. For this I had to change to HorizSync and VerticalFresh values that I found on the net (actually I have set them 28-70 and 50-160). In SUSE 10.0-RC1 I also set up the same values but in this case the picture become really dark, barely visible and a maximum of 84 Hz refresh rate. In all the previous SUSE versions I had perfectly clear and light picture using these values. Since the monitor configuring panel has changed in 10.0 I might missed something during the setup. Any idea how to make my monitor work as in earlier SUSE versions? Thanks, IG ____________________________________________________________________________ Ingyenes hirdetés feladás az [origo] aprón!
