Suse 10 seems quite hyperactive on the disk light. Maybe my new machine has
a
more responsive LED than the old one, but vmstat reports lots of blocks
read/write even when the machine is "idle".
How do we detect and control these errant processes?
When the disk doesn't get accessed it can go to sleep and save power; at the
moment it can't.
