I'm answering my own question.  Yes there is one from Blackdown, a 1.3 
version presently, but they seem to be working on newer also.  I would 
have thought that was included from the ftp to download.  I wonder if 
IBM has anything newer, since they are so heavily vested in PPC?

So all is not lost for PPC users, of which I might very well become 
since SuSE has again decided to provide it to us!  :o)
