Vincent,
Don't use --force or you can surely mess up a system doing so. Force
should be reserved for very special cases. Drop all the new KDE
packages into a directory of your choosing and from the shell:
rpm -Uhv *.rpm
Don't forget to run ldconfig and /sbin/SuSEconfig afterwards. Then
restart KDE by ctrl-alt-F1, login as root, init 3, then init 5!
It's quite likely you will get some warnings. Check to see if that
program is installed to begin with and if you want/need it on your
system that you will go to the trouble to fix the dependencies.
No need to uninstall the old as the rpms will take care of those things.
Also remember that SuSE sometimes splits the files into different rpms
installed on your system, so don't just download what you think you
have installed, get them all. That way you'll keep the programs you
have and get a few more nice new ones on the way. :o)

Lee
