Ummmm anyone else experience this?
I did an apt update last night on two sep. machines (skipping the broken gtk2 ones - discussed on the list back on Aug 6), and somehow, somewhere, the update removed most of the icons from /opt/kde3/share/icons. I have roughly 10% of what used to be there.... plus I've lost all my icons for other apps as well... like Firefox, Synaptic, OpenOffice, MPlayer and a lot (but not all) of my Gnome app icons.
OK, not catastrophic, but it is really annoying.. .now all my apps have a blue gear or a white "page" with a corener turned up.
I've never had an update remove icons... especially annoying is that the icons I placed in the kde3 icon directory are also gone (I put a bunch of custom icons in there just because it was easier than tracking them down on the file system when I wanted to use them).
Anyone else have this prob with the latest apt update? Any reasonable suggestions to get this stuff stuck back in where it's supposed to be? And finally... what the heck happened? Why would an update remove existing icons? A bit puzzled since I've never had an update do this before.

I had the same from a yast install, I think there is some stuff broken because of the new cairo package and packages which are still built against the old package.
